How Do I Make Money Without Doing Any Work?
Just about every month, I go through a routine of looking at business products that can make a huge improvement. Quite often, I'll see an information product or tool that claims that you can make gazillions without doing any work.
I'm not talking about doing this at a regular retirement age. The whole point of this article is to discuss the idea of retiring early and have the ability to be super lazy at the beach... if that's what you really want to do.

Let's get started! Before jumping into the tools and info, let me give you a quickie on making money online and offline.
How Do I Make Money Online or Offline?
It really doesn't matter what business you build, you just need to follow this process for making money.
First, you have to have a group of people that know, like, trust you, and like the kinda stuff that you're offering.
Second, you've gotta offer a product or service that this group will actually buy.
Third, you've gotta have a mechanism in place that will convert that group, your audience, into paying customers.
Now that I've gotten that out of the way, let's dive into this no-work, bunch of money stuff.
I'll discuss what you should avoid first, then I'll provide some tips. If you avoid these get rich scams, you'll save a bunch of time and money!
The Software that Promises Quick Riches
I'll be blunt. If you see a software that promises that it can create full-time income in a few months or less, run quickly!
These tools often tell you that you just need to make 1 or a few clicks.
For example, one software will tell you that it will create tons of product listings on an ecommerce website with a click of a button. What's implied here is that you can set a shop of fast and start raking in the dough.
What happens next? Somebody buys the tool, they go through several clicks, and realize that nobody is buying anything.
So if you have nobody buying, maybe it's because you don't have enough people visiting the website.
The next pitch...
Get 10,000 buyers to your website in the next 30 days...just buy this software and generate traffic on autopilot.
Sounds great, doesn't it?
So then you buy the software, you go through the process, and you get a bunch of trash traffic to your website. These people barely understand your language or have enough money to buy products on your site. In many cases, those tools rarely generate traffic or buyers.
I think you get the gist of all this.
The Shiny Object Called Information
What if you had access to the information that the gurus have, the kind of information that will help you generate millions?
I'm sure you've run into this stuff before.
I'm not saying that all information product suck.
I truly believe that one of the fastest ways to succeed is by modeling success.
While Modeling Success, Do Your Due Diligence
I also look deep into why these people were able to succeed and how legit they are.
For example, I have a friend from high school that coaches people on how to become successful in life. The real story that he doesn't share is that he made millions from stock options after working in a Silicon Valley startup after working a couple of years after college. He just had to show up to work.
In my book, that's called being lucky.
I also used to work for a boss that claimed that he was a self-made millionaire. How did he do it? He had a huge angel investor called his attorney/uncle and hired a bunch of people that knew what they were doing.
While there's nothing wrong with utilizing other people's money, most people don't have resources like that, and it's tough to model.
The Quick Methods for Making Money
In the beginning, I discussed how you could make money online and offline.
The trick to making money fast is by optimizing any of those processes.
Online, you'll find courses that focus on any of these 3 areas:
1) Offering a product or a service
2) Getting targeted traffic (your audience)
3) Conversions (selling your offer and converting your traffic into customers)
In order to make fast, you have to optimize 1 or more areas.
So imagine that you have a product and a landing page for it that was made to convert like crazy!
The one thing that's missing is traffic. So somebody sells some information on how you can get 10,000 people to your landing page in 30 days.
You read the information and find out that the person used solo ads to build a list of 10,000 people at a fraction of the price that it would cost on Facebook.
Sounds good right?
If you've read this far, I'll give you some free marketing advice:
The majority of the solo ads out there suck, even the ones from the solo ad gurus. The solo ads that are great aren't being sold on the public solo ad marketplaces.
The popular solo ad sellers make money by "selling" you solo ads that suck.
In the end, you'll build an audience with extremely low engagement which can put your email reputation in danger. That means that most of your emails will go straight to the spam folder.
Are there good information products out there? Yes. Most of the good ones aren't selling overnight success BTW.
Business Systems for Getting Rich Quick
In the land of business opportunities, "systems" are a dime a dozen.
These opportunities will tell you to "just follow the system," and you can make a fortune.
I know first hand. I was sold into one of the most popular one's when I was in high school.
I used to draw those bubbles on the whiteboard decades ago.
Do those systems work?
Somewhat.
I've met people that have made more than most doctors and attorneys by building huge teams. I was even trained by a guy that makes over a million a month.
However, those people didn't make money quickly. They worked their butts off for many, many years, and for many hours throughout the day.
I still remember going to meetings, after meetings, and waking up super early to site at the front of these conference halls, and going to bed super late after wrapping up late night team meetings.
Strategies for Minimizing Work, While Make Money 24/7
Unless you're receiving retirement funds, made a bunch off of investments, inherited tons of money, have a rich family, or you've won something like the lotto, there aren't too many options for doing absolutely nothing and making money.
However, there are things that you can do to minimize your work.
Outsourcing
For example, you can easily outsource by using websites like UpWork.com or Fiverr.com.
On those sites, you can have people do work that you don't want to do...you just have to pay for it.
The trick with these sites is finding people that will do high quality work, and do the exact things that you want them to do.
My advice here is figuring out things for yourself, and then hiring people later. If you just do this, you'll be able to tell if people are doing work correctly. The more experience you have, the better you'll be at managing outsourced projects.
Automation and Optimization
Online, we can automize business processes on the front end (what your prospective customers see) and on the back end.
One of the easiest things to do is to use technology to automate tasks for you.
For example, instead of coding a landing page with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, you can use an easy drag-and-drop editor.
If I want to create a complex sales funnel, then I'll use a sales funnel builder with automation in between.
You can get a bunch of separate tools, or use a more integrated marketing approach.
Conclusion
Can you really make tons of money without doing much work? If you're looking for a get rich scheme, then my answer is no. If you look at the "legit" heavy hitters on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, blogging, or in ecommerce, they hustled to the top for many years. Even young adults in their 20's have made multiple millions just by doing business building activities throughout the week.
In order to get to the top, you have to get started and there's no replacement for working hard across multiple years.
If it all seems overwhelming, just remember this. Your daily or weekly activities will all add up over time. Whether you're spending 10 minutes or multiple hours a day, those activities will grow your business to the point that you'll be able to make money around the clock.
