When I started building my own business online, I built niche websites. Nowadays, people use blogs. The idea was to create a website that promoted a specific product.
For many years, that idea worked. I used the power of Google to send traffic to me, and then I would be able to point my website visitors to a product or service. If somebody bought from my site, then I would make money. That was typical e-commerce.
If you're looking for the fast track, you'll see a bunch of people telling you to use Facebook or YouTube ads.
Both of those work, but there's a huge learning curve if you want to avoid throwing money out the window.
